Matte Paint Protection Film
Matte Paint Protection Film gives a car a factory-matte or satin look while adding the same self-healing, stone-chip and chemical protection as clear PPF. It is a popular way to change a car's appearance without a full respray or a colour-change wrap: the film goes over the existing gloss paint, so the change is fully reversible when the film is removed within its service life. Matte PPF is offered by most major film brands as a distinct product line, usually in TPU, and carries similar 5-10 year warranties to their clear films. On GoEV you can filter PPF to matte and satin finishes, compare films by material, thickness, hydrophobic properties and warranty, and get quotes from installers experienced in matte film — which is less forgiving to install than gloss because fingerprints and buffing marks show more during application.

Matte PPF vs matte wrap
Matte PPF is thicker, self-healing and protective; a matte vinyl wrap is cheaper and comes in more shades but offers little impact protection and is not self-healing. If protection matters, choose matte PPF.
Living with a matte finish
Matte film needs matte-safe shampoo and no wax or polish. Hydrophobic matte PPF makes upkeep easier. Localised shine ('buffing') can develop where the panel is rubbed repeatedly, such as door handles.
