PPF Installation

Paint Protection Film installation is a skilled job: the film is either plotted from a pre-cut pattern for your exact model or hand-cut on the car, then slip-solution applied, squeegeed to remove every bubble, and the edges wrapped or tucked so they are invisible and sealed. Good installers wash and decontaminate the paint, machine-polish out existing swirls (film locks in whatever is underneath), and work in a clean, dust-controlled bay. A full-body job typically takes two to four days. On GoEV you can book PPF installation through the same service workflow used for other vehicle services — pick a provider, choose your coverage package, and get a quote for your car. This page explains what to expect and what separates a lasting install from one that lifts at the edges within months.

What good prep looks like

Full wash, clay or chemical decontamination, tar and iron removal, then machine polishing to remove swirls and light scratches. Panels are wiped with a prep solvent immediately before the film goes on.

Pre-cut vs bulk (hand-cut)

Pre-cut patterns protect your paint from blades near the edges and give consistent coverage, but leave a small unfilmed margin. Bulk hand-cutting can wrap edges fully but needs a very experienced installer to avoid blade marks.

After installation

Do not wash for about a week while the adhesive cures. Small pockets of moisture under the film usually clear on their own within days to weeks.
