TPU Paint Protection Film
TPU — thermoplastic polyurethane — is the premium Paint Protection Film material and the type most reputable brands use for their flagship products. A TPU film has an elastomeric top coat that lets light swirl marks and installation micro-scratches disappear when the panel warms in the sun or under warm water, which is what people mean by 'self-healing'. Compared with TPH hybrid film and PVC film, TPU resists yellowing far better, stays more optically clear over its life, and generally carries the longest manufacturer warranty (commonly 5-10 years). On GoEV you can filter PPF listings to TPU only, then compare them by thickness in mils, top-coat technology, hydrophobic and ceramic-infused properties, finish and warranty length. TPU films are available as pre-cut kits for specific vehicles, as coverage packages fitted by an installer, and as bulk rolls. This page links straight into the TPU-filtered marketplace and to installers who fit TPU film in your city.

Why choose TPU
Self-healing top coat, strong resistance to UV yellowing, high optical clarity retained over years, and the longest warranties on the market. It is the right choice if you plan to keep the car and want the film to still look invisible in year five.
TPU thickness options
Most TPU PPF is 6-8 mil for balanced daily protection. High-thickness TPU (10 mil and above) trades a little conformability for extra stone-chip absorption and is popular for bumpers, rocker panels and off-road use.
