Executive summary
The World Bank / Solargis Global Solar Atlas is the intended primary source for location-level GoEV solar-resource observations. The data model is ready, but values are withheld until the licensed source export is imported and reviewed.
Key findings
- GHI, DNI, DIF, GTI, PVOUT and optimum tilt are distinct indicators and must retain their source units.
- Location-level values are published only from reviewed source rows; GoEV does not invent city estimates.
- Any derived annual-generation result must expose its system-size and calculation assumptions.
Overview
Pakistan Solar Resource: What Does the Data Show?
This research page is the public methodology and interpretation layer for GoEV's Pakistan Solar Dataset. The source architecture supports Global Horizontal Irradiation (GHI), Direct Normal Irradiation (DNI), Diffuse Horizontal Irradiation (DIF), Global Tilted Irradiation (GTI), photovoltaic power output (PVOUT), optimum tilt (OPTA), sourced coordinates and location labels.
GoEV publishes location-level values only after they have been imported from an authorized World Bank / Solargis Global Solar Atlas download and reviewed. Until that import is complete, no city, district or province values are inferred, interpolated or displayed.
Where estimated annual generation is later shown, the page must state the PVOUT-based calculation, system size and assumptions and label the result as a GoEV calculation rather than a measured value.
Methodology
Import the authorized country export without interpolation, preserve source coordinates, units, version and licence attribution, validate numeric ranges and row counts, then publish the dataset only after review.
Limitations
No location-level values are currently asserted on this page because the authorized source export is not present in the repository.
Conclusion
Use the linked dataset after publication for location-specific observations; until then consult the original Global Solar Atlas directly.
